Royal College managed to compile a huge score for the first innings as their top order delivered with the bat. Isiwara Dissanayaka, Sadisha Rajapaksha, Kavindu Chathuranga, and Prashan Kalhara stroked half-centuries to propel Royal’s first innings score to 335/7 before they declared on the 2nd day.
Kushan Madusha of Mahinda College was the only bowler to succeed as he picked up 3 wickets.
In reply, the visitors were unable to survive the day as they were bundled out for 165 runs in 80.3 overs. Rashmika Madushanka tried hard to spark the Mahinda side but his innings were in vain as Royal spinners Gishan Balasooriya and Prashan Kalhara went through the opposition batting order before the stumps.
Sithum Akilanka and Ashan Dilhara take the limelight in Division II
Match was concluded as a draw as the Royalists secured first innnings points.
