Sri Lankan Paddlers ready to conquer South Asian Games 2019

A team of 10 paddlers has been selected to represent mother Sri Lanka at the approaching 13th South Asian Games to be held from the 1st to the 10th December.

Sri Lanka Table Tennis has had a successful history at the South Asian Games. At the last South Asian Games in 2016, Sri Lankan Table Tennis Team brought back 1 silver and 10 bronze medals from the championship. 

Two experienced players Nirmala Jayasingha from MAS Intimates and Ishara Madurangi from Sri Lanka Port Authority will lead the Men’s and Women’s teams for the tour. 

Sri Lanka’s defending National Champions Chameera Ginige from University of Sri Jayewardenepura and Bimandee Bandara from Hillwood College Kandy will also play a key role in the side.

Women’s team – Ishara Madurangi © (Sri Lanka Port Authority), Bimandee Bandara (Hillwood College), Ayla Chitty (Ladies’ College), Erandi Warusawithana (Sri Lanka Army), Hansani Piumila (Visakha Vidyalaya)

Buddika Dikkumbura will operate as the Coach for the Men’s and Women’s teams while Sadisi Nirasha takes on the role of Team Manager.
