The annual six-a-side tournament organized by the Mercantile Cricket Association will be worked off on the 30th, 31st of August and the 1st of September 2019 at various grounds around Colombo.
The tournament will be played in two tiers with 18 teams from divisions ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ playing in tier ‘A’ and 48 teams in tier ‘B’, from divisions ‘D’, ‘E’,’F’ and ‘G’.
The tier ‘A’ tournament will be played on turf pitches while the tier ‘B’ will compete on matting surfaces.
Both finals will be played at the MCA grounds on the 1st of September.

The sponsorship was officially handed over to the MCA by Mr. Damith Tennakoon, Director & Deputy CEO /CFO, Mr. Sasindra Munasinghe, Director Sales & Business Development & Mr. Dharshana Jayasinghe, Deputy General Manager, Marketing of CDB Finance PLC. Awards will include Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Most Sixes, Player of the Finals and Player of the Tournament.
The last edition of the tournament was won by LB Finance and Fairfirst Insurance in tier ‘A’ and ‘B’ respectively.
