Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) announced a 20-member squad to take part in this year’s SAFF Under 15 Championship, which will kick off on the 21st of August in Kalyani in East Bengal, India.

The final squad of 20 players was selected after 2 days of trials held in June and a provisional squad of 30 players who were at residential training at Beddagana Training Facility for the last couple of months.
This is the 5th appearance for the Lankans in the Championship who have never gone beyond the group stage.
Sri Lanka will play all the rest of the teams taking part; their tournament will kick off with a game against Bhutan, followed by games againt Nepal, Bangladesh and India.

The team is coached by last season’s most successful schools coach Aruna Sampath of St. Joseph’s College, who will be assisted by Navah Prince. The Goalkeeping trainer will be Joseph Shean while the physio will be Sumetha Perera. The team manager for the tour is Dilruk Jayawardena.
The team will be led by Rishika Yohan Seimon of De Mazenod College Kandana and deputized by Derick Neil of St. Lucia’s College Colombo.
