St. Thomas College batsmen replied with an even better batting performance scoring 428 runs for 8 wickets with Harindu Jayasekara making a century for the Thomians. St. Servatius College began their second innings 77 runs behind and declared the innings at 151 runs for 4 wickets setting a target of 75 runs to win for St. Thomas College.
