Afghanistan’s proposed ODI series against Zimbabwe has been cancelled.

A five-match series between the two teams was mooted to take place in the Zimbabwean capital of Harare in April and was set to play a part in Afghanistan’s preparations for this year’s ICC Cricket World Cup which starts in May.

Afghanistan drew their recently concluded ODI series against Ireland 2-2 and are due to play two ODIs against both Scotland and Ireland before the start of the World Cup.

The final part of their World Cup preparations will be in the form of warm-up games against Pakistan and England at the County Ground in Bristol and The Oval in London respectively.
