Xzahirians Futsal Tournament 2019 this weekend

Zahira College – Mawanella OBA Qatar have organised their flagship event “Xzahirians Futsal Tournament” famously known as “Xzahirians ஆட்டம்” for its alumni in Qatar on Friday 08 March 2019 at The Pearling Season International School Futsal court from 1.30 p.m. onwards.

The tournament will feature twelve teams from among the former Zahirians competing for the Championship divided into two categories. The members aged below 35 will compete for the Elite Championship Trophy while the members above the age of 35 will compete for the Veterans Championship Trophy.

The tournament will feature a unique sub-tournament among the old boys of the Mawanella Zone schools. This Trophy has been named Z.A.M. Zameel challenge Trophy. Six schools including Zahira College, Baduriya Central College, Al Azhar Central College – Hemmathagama, Nooraniya Maha Vidyalaya – Uyanwatta, Al Madeena Maha Vidyalaya – Ganethenna and Delgahagoda Muslim Kanishta Vidyalaya will compete for this Trophy.

Mr. Z.A.M. Zameel was a great footballer produced by Zahira who represented many clubs in his long illustrious football career including Madyamalanka and Serendib. He was a national level medal winner during his school days for Paul-vault and in athletics.
