The President of Sri Lanka Cricket Mr. Shammi Silva will leave for Dubai on the 28th February 2019 to meet with top ICC officials and attend several important ICC meetings.
CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket Ashley De Silva is already in Dubai attending the ongoing quarterly Chief Executive Committee meetings.
On Friday (01st March 2019) Mr. Shammi Silva will attend the ‘Induction Session for New Directors;’ as he will be an automatic inclusion as a director of ICC’s board of directors by becoming the president of SLC, and on the following day will take part in the ‘ICC Directors Board meeting.’ Mr. Silva will also attend the ‘ICC Business Corporation (IBC) Directors’ Board Meeting on the same evening.
“I will discuss with the ICC to release the funds due to SLC, which was withheld by the governing body, until an elected body was established at SLC;” said Mr. Shammi Silva.

Silva was elected as the President of SLC in last week as he beat his counter-part Jayantha Dharmadasa by a majority of 27 votes at SLC AGM held at the Sports Ministry.
