Gurukula College vs Moratu Maha Vidyalaya
The traditional encounter is being worked off at Moratuwa where the visiting Gurukula College won the toss and elected to bat first. The left-arm star of Moratu Vidyalaya, Eran Hansamal, did his regular magic with the ball for his alma mater as the visitors tumbled for 134 runs. Praveen Nimesh scored a consolidating 34 runs.
Moratu Maha Vidyalaya batting was led by the run machine who is in a blind form, Nishan Madushka. The stylish right-hander brought-up his 6th century with an unbeaten 110 runs. The hosts ended the day with 159 runs on board for the loss of 5 wickets.

Opener, Dinith Anjula gave a wonderful start to the Peterite innings as he went on to make 91 runs. Skipper Jayasena also contributed with 60 runs while Sasith Hirudika and Nimnaka Jayathilaka both picking up 3 wickets each.
