Badureliya CC v Moors SC
Badureliya bagged a first innings win as skipper Alankara Asanka scored twin centuries in their match against Moors at BRC grounds. The 3rd and final day’s play resumed with Moors on 236 for 7 in their first innings. Their last 3 wickets fell cheaply as Sachith Pathirana completed a five wicket haul for Badureliya.
Alankara Asanka came in to bat in their 2nd innings and he just picked up from where he left in the 1st innings. He looked in sublime touch as he stroked yet another century at the top. Himself and Nadeera Nawela added a massive 181 runs, with Nadeera scoring 72. However, it was Asanka who stole the limelight in the game as he amassed 295 runs in both innings.

Badureliya made 383 runs in their first innings after they were asked to bat first. Skipper Alankara Asanka carried his bat through the innings to remain unbeaten on 144 runs.

Negombo CC v SL Ports Authority CC
Negombo CC tried to go for an outright win but it was too late as they had to settle for first innings points in their match against SL Ports Authority CC at Moors grounds. The final day’s play resumed with SLPP on 208 for 6 in their first innings. Gihan Rupasinghe and the tail batted sensibly but they fell short of Negombo’s total as Upul Indrasiri picked up 6 wickets to bundle out SLPP for 280 runs.
Negombo came on to bat for the 2nd innings with a lead of 85 runs. The top order fired with half centuries as they cruised to 200 runs in just 39 overs. They declared their innings, setting an impossible target of 286 runs. SLPP were 120 for 2 in 29 overs when umpires called stumps.
Negombo won the toss and elected to bat first earlier in the game. Prasanna Jayamanne’s unbeaten century helped them post 365 runs in their first innings.

BRC v Ragama CC
Sameera De Soyza’s double century secured much needed first innings points for Ragama CC against BRC at Bloomfield grounds. Play resumed for the day with Ragama on 324 for 8 in their first innings. Sameera De Soyza who was unbeaten on 155 went on to make 215 runs to propel Ragama CC to 430 for 9.

BRC’s 2nd innings was no better than their 1st innings. However, Savin Gunasekara and Bhanuka Rajapaksa got amongst the runs with half centuries. They held on until stumps to deny Ragama an outright win.
Early on in the game, Ragama won the toss and elected to field first. BRC only managed 291 runs with Thilakaratne Sampath scoring 105 runs.
