S. Thomas’ College won the toss and elected to bat first. They frustrated the visitors and scored a massive 328 runs after batting the whole day one. Shalin de Mel batted brilliantly as he made a crafty 136-runs to put S. Thomas’ on top. Ravindu Fernando also looked good with the bat as he scored 67 runs to support the cause. St. Sebastian’s College Katuneriya won the toss and invited St. Anthony’s College to bat first. The latest addition to the Sri Lanka U19 team, Avishka Tharindu led the batting for St. Anthony’s as he hit an unbeaten 102-runs to take his team to a comfortable position in the game. Arindha Pasindu was also equally good with bat as he remained on 81 at the end of the day. St. Anthony’s College was at 248 runs for the loss of 5 wicket by close of play.
