Isipathana College, Colombo vs Ashoka Vidyalaya, Colombo
Isipathana College won their group stage match against Ashoka Vidyalaya today by 9 wickets in Group ‘D’. Winning the toss the visitors, Ashoka, elected to bat first at BRC grounds and managed to score 105 runs all out in 31.2 overs. Lahiru Vithanage’s 22 runs was the highest on the scoreboard while Savindu Uthrasa took 4 wickets for 28 runs.
Chasing down an easy target Isipathana managed to secure victory scoring 110 runs for the loss of one wicket in just 16.3 overs. Leshan Amarasinghe scored 52 runs not out and Thevindu Dikwella scored 30 runs. Pathana won by 9 wickets.

Gurukula College, Kelaniya vs Mahanama College, Colombo
Winning the toss Mahanama invited the boys from Kelaniya to bat first today in a Group ‘F’ match. Gurukula put up a decent total on board by scoring 225 runs all out in 49.5 overs. Praveen Nimesh and Kemira Nayanatharu scored 57 runs and 54 runs respectively. Chamikara Peiris was the pick of the bowlers when he managed to take 4 wickets for 20 runs.
Chasing the target Mahanama managed to complete the score in 43.2 overs by scoring 229 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Pulshan Rowana was brilliant with the bat and he scored 90 runs while Pawan Rathnayake scored 74 runs. Mahanama won the match by 6 wickets.

Another group stage match in the Singer Schools U17 Division (A) Group ‘E’ between De Mazenod College, Kandana vs Sri Dharmaloka College, Kelaniya was played at Horana today. Winning the toss Dharmaloka invited Mazenod to bat first and bowled them out for 180 runs in 39.3 overs in a 50 over match. Revin Fernando with 43 runs and Asitha Silva with 31 runs not out were the top scorers by Mazenod while Hasindu Prabod took 4 wickets for 33 runs.
It was not easy for the boys from Kelaniya to chase down the target and they were bowled out for 121 runs in 36.3 overs. Kavindu Malshan scored 30 runs and Revin, Sandun, Theekshana shared 2 wickets each between them. De Mazenod won the match by 59 runs.
