CR & FC proved too good as the Longdon Place side went unbeaten to win the second leg of the Dialog Club Rugby Sevens tournament played at Racecourse International Stadium. However, CH & FC were crowned overall tournament champs as they finished runners up and fourth over the two legged tournament.
Police A thumped Peterson B 59 nil to begin day two of the tournament on a flying note while Galle RFC received a bye in game number two. Army Keterians and Army B were the other two winners as the first set of quarter-finals concluded with the cup finals about to take stage.

CR & FC continued in their good form, beating Navy B with ease in the first cup quarter-final. Navy A eased passed Police B setting up a semi-final against CR.
Air Force A and CH & FC A continued their push for a championship, beating Army B and CH & FC B, setting up a semi-final showdown –virtual final– for the overall title.

Peterson B were awarded a walk over in the first shield semi final as Navy C got the better out of Peterson A, setting up a shield final showdown against Peterson B.

Meanwhile, Police A continued to thump the minnows, this time beating Galle RFC, setting up a final against Army B, who got the better out of Army Keterians In the bowl semi-finals.

Navy B and CH & FC B set up a plate final against each other as the two sides defeated Police B and Army A respectively in the plate semi-finals.

Meanwhile CR & FC continued their dream run, this time defeating Navy A in a close contest. Air Force A pushed CH & FC A in the second semi-final–championship final Playoff, however, the star-studded CH team fought back with vigour, to take the game and seal the championship of the Dialog Club sevens over the two legs.

Shield Final
Peterson B were comprehensively defeated by Navy C as the sailors third side took the Shield championship home as neither their B or A team managed to end with silverware.

Bowl Final
Runners up from the first leg, Police A had to be satisfied with the Bowl Championship as the top cops defeated Army B in handsome fashion. Following a disappointing first day, the cops were relegated to the bowl segment and ended winning it with a margin of 29 points in the final.

CH & FC B managed to defeat Navy B in the Plate final as the second side from Maitland Crescent were never made to work for their victory. The Sailors B team did not manage to get momentum on their side ad paid the price for it.
Meanwhile, Navy A defeated Air Force A in their 3rd, 4th place play-off to finish in a below part third position.

Women’s Segment
Meanwhile the Navy Women went on to be crowned champions in the Women’s segment of the tournament as they successfully defeated Air Force and Army on the final day of the second leg of the tournament.

Cup Final
The reds from Longdon place were on fire as they headed into the final of the second leg of the tournaments after not participating in the first leg. Meanwhile, CH & FC were not in the form they would have like to be in even though they posses many national players in their squad.
CR & FC scored first through Reeza Rafaideen, however, CH hung in through a score of their own as the two teams were separated by just two points at the halftime whistle.
CH pressed hard, however the CR defense held firm without conceding points in the second half. This mammoth defensive effort spurred on their attack and two tries from Omalka and captain Kavindu Perera sealed the deal, handing CH & FC defeat in the final even though they had already secured the overall Championship.
