With a day to go for the kickoff of the Dialog Inter Club 7’s, the Colombo Hockey and Football Club (CH & FC) have made yet another important signing, as former national centre Nishon Perera will cross over from the Park club to the Gymkhana.
CR & FC pull out of Club Sevens
The Colombo Rugby Football Club (CR & FC) has confirmed..
22-year-old Nishon Perera’s inclusion comes at a very crucial stage in the Gymkhana club’s progress with Hirantha Perera also crossing over last month, thereby giving CH, Havelock SC’s starting centre combination from last season.
The confirmation of the transfer was made by the CH & FC management as they prepare for the Dialog Inter Club Sevens that will kick off tomorrow (2nd) at the Racecourse Grounds.

Nishon, who represented St. Peter’s College, was a standout at the centre position for the school and was later handpicked for the Sri Lanka under 20 sevens team that won the Asia Under 20 series in 2016.
Later Nishon was also included in the national sevens squad and has been a promising sevens player in the extended squad.
CH & FC have been the busiest team in this Dialog Rugby League off season, enlisting several new players. Key players from Havelock Sports Club, Hirantha Perera and Sudam Sooriyarachchi have also switched to the CH ahead of the season.
