Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) released the full list of candidates for the upcoming elections on 31st May.
The incumbent President, Thilanga Sumathipala will be seeking another term and will be challenged by former President Jayantha Dharmadasa, former secretary Nishantha Ranathunga and the current vice-president Mohan De Silva for the top post.

With the current Secretary Air Commodore Roshan Biyanwila opting not to contest, the post of the Secretary will be a close tussle with the likes of Shammi Silva, Bandula Dissanayake and Mohan De Silva going against Hirantha Perera and Nishantha Ranathunga.
Last Saturday (19th May), under the directive of Sports Minister Faiszer Musthapa, SLC unanimously appointed an Election Committee to conduct the election to elect the office bearers.

Post of Assistant Secretary – Bandula Dissanayake, Samantha Dodanwela, Raveen Wickramarathne.
Post of Treasurer – Shammi Silva, Bandula Dissanayake, Eastman Narangoda.
Post of Assistant Treasurer – Gihan Weerasinghe, Lalith Rambukwella, Nihal Lewke.
Position in the Umpires Committee – Deepal Madurapperuma, Abu Siddek, Hiran Jayamanne, Dumindu Hemal, Marlon Ranasinghe, Saman Hewawitharana, Wasanthalal Fernando.
Position in the Tournament Committee – Wasantha Ariyawickrama, Gihan Weerasinghe, Kasun Fernando, Marlon Fernandopulle, Samantha Dodanwela, Shammi Gunasekara.
