The Asia X30 karting tournament concluded at Bandaragama with a new page being turned over in the Karting history of Sri Lanka. Adding a ‘little’ more venom to the first international event was a ‘little’ Sri Lankan hero who made the Bandaragama track his own in category of Cadet which features racers from age groups 8-14 years.
Yevan’s ability to maneuver the kart is way beyond his years and his skills will never allow you to believe he’s just 8 years old. His ability to strike in that split second and seize the opportunity taking risks makes him a much more composed driver than what his age would have you believe. The large crowds present got behind the ‘little’ driver admiring his patience and astute awareness as he made those ever-acute bends, racing past his fellow mates.
Yevan David is the oldest brother of the three Davids, ahead of Yevin and Yanik. All three brothers were all involved in the Cadet categories much to the delight of the crowd present.
