Two teams from Sri Lanka will be participating in the Asian U19 Beach Volleyball Championships (Asian Zone) in Nakhon Pathom, Thailand.

The tournament will be held from 23-25 March and will act as a qualifying tournament for the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires 2018.
The Girls’ Team comprises of Rashmi Diwyanjali Lakmali and Dilukshi Harshani Senarathna. Both players were part of the DSI Volleyball Championship winning side Galigamuwa Central College and will be coached by Amila Eranga Wijepala.

The Boys’ Team includes Mahela Indeewara Bandara and Kavindu Malinda. They will be coached by Sajith Nandasiri. Both players starred in DSI Volleyball Championship last year.
