The 56th Junior National Championship, which was scheduled to be held from 27th to the 29th of March at the Sugathadasa Stadium has been postponed to the 2nd to 5th April.
Advising the postponement of the championship, the Athletic Assosiation of Sri Lanka (AASL) have advised that they have decided to reschedule and postpone the championship due to relaying of the Sugathadasa stadium taking longer than expected. AASL also advised that they decided to reschedule the event without moving it to Diyagama as they are dedicated to providing the junior athletes the best opportunity to perform in the championship which will also work as a trial for the upcoming international competition.
