The team will be captained by prolific left-hand batter Chamari Atapattu with opener Nipuni Hansika functioning as her deputy.

The series is expected to be a closely fought one with Pakistan ranked 7th in the ICC Women’s Team Rankings, while Sri Lanka lie at 8th.

This will be Sri Lanka’s 1st assignment since they traveled to the West Indies in October last year, where they were soundly beaten by the Windies Women in the 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is.

The tour will begin with 3 ODIs, which will be played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on the 20th, 22nd and 24th of March. The three games will count for the ICC Women’s Championship 2017 – 2021 cycle, in which Sri Lanka currently lies in 8th place, the only team without a win under their belts.
