The schools from Kandy blew away their opponents in the quarter finals of the Under 15 Girls ‘C’ Division Basketball Championship which concluded earlier this morning at De Mazenod and St . Peter’s basketball courts.
St . Anne’s was demolished by CIS Kandy 46 points to 26. The game started off being very competitive but CIS took the upper hand early on and held their nerve to clinch the win. In the second quarter-final Gateway College Kandy ran away with the game against Visaka Vidyalaya Colombo eventually ending up with a score of 56 points to 27.

The third quarter-final however between Yasodara Vidyalaya and Maliyadeva Balika Kurunegala was closer than the first two quarter finals but the final score was 62 points to 44, with Maliyadeva coming out on top. Holy Family Convent Wennappuwa and St.Lawrence School battled it out in the final quarter final match as it eventually ended at 34 points to 30
The semi-final matches will be as follows:
1. CIS Kandy vs Maliyadeva BV
2. Gateway College Kandy vs HFC Wennapuwa
