The Colombo Super League ‘A’ Division matches started off at Sugathadasa Indoor Basketball Courts Complex as Sri Lanka Army ‘A’ was beaten by HSC Blues while Colombo B.C. ‘A’ secured their victory against Colombo Bulls ‘A’.

HSC Blues v Sri Lanka Army BC ‘A’
Even though the Blues did have the first possession, they took a couple of attempts at the net to draw first blood. Both Mithila Abeyseakra and Timothi Nithushan played a vital role for the Blues in the maiden quarter which assisted them to stay ahead with a five-point lead. Even though SL Army BC did add extra nine points in the second quarter, the Blues continuing the momentum, went on to retain the lead by 09 points going into half time.

SL Army BC went on to pile up a dozen points in the third quarter. The Blues replied with sixteen. It was the consistency that was lacking from the Sri Lanka Army BC outfit as they were not able to recover from the bad start they had. Going into the final six hundred seconds of the match, the Blues went on to score twenty-three points, a game high in reply to a mere 13 points of the Soldiers.

Colombo BC ‘A’ v Colombo Bulls ‘A’
Colombo ‘A’ took first possession of the ball and successfully converted it into the first basket. Following the first possession, Colombo BC went on to lead the quarter by a point as they rallied up ten on the board. Bulls replied with nine. Playing a strong game in the first half, Colombo BC had a strong foothold as they increased the lead by a dozen points going into the ten-minute break.

Coming into the second half, Colombo ‘A’ dominated the game as the Colombo Bulls were still trailing behind. Even though, the Colombo Bulls made 8 points they could not a put a stop to the offensive strategies adopted by Colombo B.C. ‘A’. However, in the final few minutes victory was assured for Colombo B.C. ‘A’ as they led the game by 28 points as the game ended.
