SINGER U13 DIVISION I TOURNAMENT 2017/18 – SEMI-FINAL
D.S. Senanayake College Colombo booked their spot in the final in a convincing manner as they managed to overcome Royal College Colombo. Batting first, after having won the toss, Royal College only managed to put on a low total of 135 runs before being bowled out in 51 overs.
Sineth Jayawardana top scored for the Royalists with 27 runs under his belt. In the bowling department Manura Pieris picked up 4 wickets while Imesh Adeesha chipped in with 3 wickets for 40 runs, both utilizing the Bandaragama pitch to their advantage.
D.S Senanayake in reply to the Royal total made 150 for the loss of just 4 wickets in 42.3 overs. Manura Peiris, the star with the ball, delivered with the bat as well, top scoring with 60 runs. D. Hettige partnered Peiris, both remaining in an unbeaten partnership securing the first innings points for D.S. Senanayake.
