Colts vs SSC

SSC were shot out for 200 in their first innings after Colts made 267 runs on the opening day on the back of a Sangeeth Cooray half century.
The star studded SSC batting line up struggled against the left arm orthodox and right arm off spin combination of Prabath Jayasuriya and Dilruwan Perera, as the duo shared seven wickets between them to secure a crucial 67 run first innings lead.
Chamara Kapugedara continued from where he left off in the previous game with another half century while Kaushal Silva made 43 for SSC while the other batsman failed to capitalize after making starts.
The young Colts outfit failed to put a stranglehold on the game as they lost five crucial wickets late in the day to let SSC back into the game and will have to make sure they push their lead to a substantial margin come day three.
Priyamal Perera was unbeaten in 22* at close and he will be a key man of Colts’ chances in the match while Akthab Cader and Sachithra Senanayake picked up two wickets apiece for SSC.
