Sri Lanka Cricket’s National Selectors have picked a preliminary squad of 23 players to select the ODI squad for the upcoming Bangladesh tour and have asked those players not to play domestic cricket, until the team’s departure for the tour.
“The players were asked not to play domestic cricket following a request made by the Head Coach Chandika Hathurusinghe and we complied with that,” said Mr. Thilanga Sumathipala, President of Sri Lanka Cricket.
The move is aimed at helping the new coach to have quality time with the players.
Training will commence on the 28th December, 2017 and the venue and time would be notified to the players in due course.
