The National Level competition of the 2017 DSI Supersport Schools’ Volleyball Championship will be held from the 11th to 15th of September at the Ruwanwella Rajasinghe Central College grounds.

The tournament is organized by the Sri Lanka Schools’ Volleyball Association, in coalition with the Sri Lanka Volleyball Association, while Sri Lanka’s leading footwear manufacturer and distributor; D. Samson and Sons (Pvt) Ltd (DSI) sponsors the tournament for the 17th consecutive year.

The tournament provides both rural and urban players with an opportunity to develop and showcase their talents and further build their careers in both national and international arena. Since its initiation, the tournament has served to produce a total of 40 national sports personalities.

With the district level competitions being completed the tournament now moves onto the national level competitions. The champion and the runners-up of each age group from the district level competitions have qualified for the national level and hence a total of 400 teams and 4800 players will take part in the competition.

The National Level competition will begin on 11th September at the Ruwanwella Rajasinghe Central College grounds under the patronage of the Hon. Minister of Power and Renewable Energy and the President of the Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation, Mr. Ranjith Siyambalapitiya and the participation of Colonel Manjula Kariyawasam.
