Kyle Abeysinghe continued to impress, bagged his second Silver medal a short while ago in the 50m Freestyle event at the Commonwealth Youth Games held in the Bahamas.

With the Commonwealth Youth Games due to end today in Nassau in the Bahamas islands Sri Lanka will review the event with disappointment as this second medal by Abesinghe will be the only medals Sri Lanka have won.
Kyle Abeysinghe came into the 50m freestyle event after winning a silver medal in the 100m freestyle event 2 days earlier.
He carried the momentum through as he fought hard, finishing second to only Scott Alexander Mclay who ended with a timing of 23.10 seconds.
Kyle swimming in lane number 2 came just 00.28 of a second late finishing with a timing of 23.38 to bag the Silver medal at this event. This is the second occasion he came second best to the Scottish national, likewise in the 100m freestyle event.
