Navy A, Police A, Army and CR & FC A remained unbeaten at the end of day 1 of the Dialog Inter Club Rugby 7’s tournament, worked off at Race Course International Stadium.
Games kicked off 50 minutes past twelve as Navy “A” began proceedings against a weak CH & FC B team. Navy coasted past CH B to register a 38-05 win, beginning in style.
Air Force “A” played their first game of the day against CR & FC “B”. The air men rolled over the B team from Longdon Place stacking up 29 points and conceding just 10.
Navy “B” followed in the footsteps of the “A” team as they managed to get a surprising win over a much fancied CH & FC “A”, who came in with new faces.
Dulaj Perera made his come back for Havelock SC following injury, making an instant impact as he steered the Park club to a 31 point win, keeping the opposition scoreless.
CR & FC “A”, packed with big name players romped up 59 points against a helpless Police “B” who was held scoreless.

The big game of the day was played between unbeaten Havelocks who took on unbeaten CR & FC “A”. Havelock SC ran away leading 12 nil at the end of the first half but a dominant second half showing by the CR lads, held the opposition scoreless and racked up 17 points to beat the Park club and remain unbeaten.
Day two is scheduled to kick off at 11.40am as the Cup/ Plate quarter finals are the first to begin.
Navy “A” take on Havelock SC in the first quarter final as Police “A” take on Navy “B”, Army versus Air Force “A” and CR & FC “A” versus Peterson SC conclude the rest of the quarter final for day two.
