The Annual Colombo Tennis Championship is set to be worked off between the 26th of May and the 11th of June at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association playing section courts. The tournament is one of the two Super ‘A’ Grade tournaments in the Sri Lankan calendar.
The tournament now in it’s 112th year will feature upto 800 entrants across Junior, Open and Veteran categories. The juniors will compete in four age categories, namely u12, u14, u16 & u18. The veterans will compete in the over 35, 45, 55 & 65 age groups. All segments will feature singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions. The tournament will also feature two ITF qualified officials.
Juniors will be permitted to compete in a maximum of three events, out of which one has to be a doubles competition. Meanwhile, all singles events will be best of three tie break sets with advantage.
The Tournament is supported by VisionCare, who have come on board as the Main Sponsor, while Ralhum Trading (Pvt) Ltd joins them as the Official Ball sponsor. Perera & Sons also continues to partner the tournament yet again.
