Sri Lanka shrugged off their shock opening day defeat against Thailand to secure a dominant 93-6 win against Pakistan in the 10th Asian Youth Netball Championship in Jeonju, South Korea.
Defending Champions Sri Lanka suffered a shock 53-48 loss to Thailand which left them needing to win all their remaining games to secure a semi-final spot.
Championship retention hopes tough for Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka had happy hunting scoring more than 20 points in all 4 quarters. They scored 21-2 and 22-1 to lead 43-3 at half time. After a 22-1 3rd quarter Sri Lanka upped the tempo scoring 28 to finish off the game.
In the game against Thailand on day 1 Sri Lanka led 8-18 at the end of the first quarter but completely faded away in the remaining three quarters. Thailand outscored Sri Lanka 14-6 to go into half time 22-24, down by just two points compared to the 10 at the end of the first quarter.
They continued the resurgence winning the 3rd quarter 16-13 to take the lead of the match (38-37). They was no comeback from Sri Lanka as Thailand secured the final quarter 15-11 to win and strengthen their hopes of making it to the semi-finals.
Sri Lanka will face Maldives tomorrow (9th May).
