Sri Lanka Development U16 overcame England Board’s Bunbury U16 by 6 wickets in the second encounter which was worked off yesterday at Colts grounds.
Bunbury U16 skipper won the toss and opted to bat first and managed only 195 as they were bundled out inside 47 overs. Ben Charles Worth anchored the innings with a classy half-ton and he was ably supported by Sam Darsey with a solid 45.
Rohan Sanjaya and Avishka Tharindu were the chief destroyers with ball for the Lankans as they grabbed 3 wickets apiece to restrict to the formidable England outfit.
Chasing a modest 196 to win, Kamil Mishara stroked an unbeaten 88, while Avishka Perera chipped in with a superb 40 to guide the Lankan juniors to a comfortable 6 wicket win.
Jack Morley took 2 for 31 and he was the pick of bowlers for England Bunbury U16s,
