Skipper Rajeewa Weerasinghe won the toss and opted to bat first as Ratnapura District folded to a below-par 151 runs. Left- arm spinner Chamikara Edirisinghe was terrific with the ball as he grabbed 4 scalps for 42 runs. In reply Monaragala District managed to cross over the winning mark thanks to a classy half-ton from the opening bat Harsha Rajapaksha in a District game which concluded today at FTZ grounds.

Being asked to bat on a flat surface at Panagoda grounds, Sanjaya Chathuranga along with Madawa Perera anchored Kalutara District to a formidable first innings total as they posted 274 in 49.2 overs. in reply Nipuna Deshan and Gayan Manishan shared 8 wickets between them to restrict the lads from Gampaha, while Kalutara District managed to overcome Gampaha District by 72 runs.
