Udage grabs 12-for; Richmond College advance to quarter-finals

Richmond College held their nerve to beat Lumbini College in their Singer-cup limited over, pre-quarter finals which was worked off today in Maggona.

Being asked to bat first Richmond College made only 106 runs as they were bowled out in 22 overs. In reply Lumbini College was buddle out for a hapless 48 runs as Sandun Mendis and Thilanga Udeshana claimed three wickets a piece to make sure that Richmond College go ahead in the limited overs tournament.

St. Mary’s College overcame Moratu Vidyalaya by 99 runs in their Singer-cup traditional encounter which was worked off today in Moratuwa.

Lasitha Udage was unplayable with his bowling spell as he completed a match-bag of 12 wickets to rattle the lads from Moratuwa dismissing them for 130 inside 45 overs in the fourth innings to give a convincing win for the boys from Kegalle.
