Galle CC vs BRC
Galle were 208 for 5 in their first innings against BRC when bad light stopped play on day 1 at Bloomfield Grounds. It was a late start due to the wet outfield but play got underway after a hour or so. Galle CC their batters stuck to task and soldiered on at a slow pace. Damitha Hunukumbura scored a patient knock of 39 at the top. They lost few wickets cheaply which put them in a spot of bother at 114 for 5. But an unbeaten 94 run stand between Dilhan Cooray and Yashoda Lanka settled things for Galle. Yashoda was unbeaten on 56 and Dilhan with him on 44 at stumps. Dinuka Hettiarachchi bagged 3 for 85 for BRC.
