Lyceum International School, Nugegoda beat St. Bernard’s College, Polgahawela with a first innings win at Thurstan College Grounds, Colombo. Batting first Lyceum International was able to score 158 for 7, declaring after batting for 50.3 overs. The top scorers for Lyceum was Jason Charles who made 60 and supported by Pasindu Kaushan who made 20. Achintha Bandara grabbed 4 for 40 to help somewhat contain the Lyceum onslaught.
Coming out to bat after a dismal time with the ball, the lads from Polgahawela continued to have a very bad day on the pitch as they were bowled out for 61. Again Jason Charles proving to be a dominant force for Lyceum grabbed 5 for 13 with his left arm leg spin, ably supported by fast bowler Nihindu Walpola with 3 for 6.
