The Inter-Company invitational triangular table tennis encounter organised between the teams of HSBC, Dialog Axiata and Virtusa, saw the Virtusa team coming out to win the overall battle by dominating a majority of the events.
Played at the Otters Aquatic and Swimming Club, the triangular featured top players of the three corporates. Virtusa set the tone for the competition by winning the Open Men’s Singles while taking the runner-up award as well. Damith Wijethunga and Sukhitha Samarakkody of Virtusa were winner and runner-up of the event respectively.
HSBC’s Dimuthu Warusavithana took the Women’s Open Singles while Dilini Wasundara of Virtusa ended up as runner-up. Dialog Axiata only had the privilege of winning the Open Men’s Doubles while both the Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles went to Virtusa.
Virtusa was judged overall winner and coming in second was HSBC.
