Sir John Tarbet set to unfold at Sugathadasa this weekend

Sri Lanka Schools Athletic Association (SLSAA) in conjunction with the Ministry of Education is once again setting the stage for the most prestigious Sir John Tarbet Senior Athletics meet which has been running for 83 years is to be gamed over 3 days of intense athletic competition.

It will be held on September 6th – 8th at the Sugathadasa Stadium which will be the venue for this event is expected to put up a grand show.

Ritzbury coming forward as principal sponsor a second year round has added the much needed ‘bite’ to the event. The meet is a looked forward to event by most athletes and a participation of a staggering 4000+ athletes is expected. A total of 180 events and 23 trophies will be on offer.

All outstanding athletes from the Sir John Tarbet will have the opportunity of being selected for the Junior South Asian Championship to be held in India at the end of the month.
