The Sri Lanka U 17 team on tour in England at present, put up a noteworthy batting display in the three day game vs England.
England won the toss and opted to bat first scoring 191 all out on the first day. A Doll 29, K Smith 30, R Jones 21, J Weatherley 58 were the main scorers for the English lads.
Off-spinner Trinitian Ravin Sayer ripped through the England batting claiming 7/64. In reply Sri Lanka reached 115/2. Lasith Lakshan 22 and Sithara Gimhan 26. At the close Avishka Fernando 31 and Madawa Nimesh 22 remained not out
