Lakith Thejana Jayanetti, a Sri Lankan born youngster now residing in Switzerland won a Bronze medal in the U15 boys doubles event at the recently concluded Swiss Junior Nationals Table Tennis Championships 2016 in Domdidier, Canton Fribourg.
Lakith partnered with his teammate Matti Pelz of Germany. They both represent the Table Tennis Club Neuhausen in Switzerland, where Sri Lanka’s National Champion Udaya Ranasinha had a 3-month training stint last year. Lakith studies at Swiss Olympic Sports School in Kreuzlingen in Switzerland, his elder brother Ramith Thenuka, plays Tennis for the same school. Prior to moving to Switzerland the brothers studied at Royal Institute, Nugegoda.
