The ABA Men & Women Intermediate Boxing Meet 2013 meet will be held from 27th to 31st of May 2013 at Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium, Colombo 13.

The meet will commence from 4.00 pm on 27thof May 2013 and 3.00 pm from 28th to 30th of May 2013. The finals will commence from 3.00 pm on 31st April 2013. The meet will be conducted according to the AIBA rules effective from March, 2013. The Weight Categories are as follows

This meet is open to all Men & Women Novice boxers who are over 19 years and below 40 years. The boxers who were born between 1973 and 1994 are eligible participate at this meet. The boxers who have won previous Intermediate Meet, Open meet (Layton, Clifford and National) or any other competition or equivalent meet to any of above are not eligible to take part in this meet. (Winners of Layton Cup, Clifford Cup and Nationals Championships or if represented Sri Lanka for Senior International Boxing Tournament, or any Military or Police Games will not be eligible to participate) Freshers will be allowed to take part. Only the winners and runner up of this meet will be qualified to take part in the ABA open meets (Layton Cup, Clifford Cup and Nationals Championships). 

Each mens’ bout will consist of three rounds of three minutes. Each womens’ bout will consist of four rounds of two minutes. There will one minute interval between each round.

All winners and 1st and 2nd Runner-ups will receive medals/certificates. Best Boxer Men & Women will receive special awards. Since this is a qualifying meet, there will be no uncontested winners. There will be no medals or certificates for the disqualified boxers.
