Himaya Devindi and Madhushan Suriyabandara were awarded the Most Outstanding Player of the Tournament for girls and boys respectively at the Mora Smashes 2015 – All Island Intermediate/Novices men’s and women’s and age groups boys’ and girls’ Table Tennis Championship.

Himaya was the runner-up in U15 and U18 girls’ singles events while becoming champion in Novices and Intermediate women’s singles segment. Madhushan was the U15 and U18 boys’ singles champion as well as Novices men’s singles champion.

Himaya was beaten in the U15 final by Aishath Rafa Nazim, who also won the U12 singles championship while Amadhi Seya won the U18 final.

Himaya bounced back after two finals losses to defeat Sanaya Buddhadasa in the Novices and Intermediate women’s singles finals.

Madhushan defeated Kumuditha Lakshan and Vinura Gamage to win the U15 and U18 boys’ singles finals respectively while he beat Damith Dilshan to win the Novices men’s final.

The tournament was held at the Indoor Stadium at the University of Moratuwa
