After competing against 16 teams with some grueling tussles in a championship that lived up to expectations, St Sebastians won the schools Kotmale Chox T20 league by a mammoth 32 runs beating Wesley at the Bloomfield grounds this evening.

St Sebastian took first lease of the wicket managing to put up a fair score of 122 runs for 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs.  Wesley bowled well to contain the Moratuwa lads to 122.  The batting was a team effort.  Luke Jayadewa was first to go caught by Baasiju Mussamil off the bowling of Mirgara Wickremasinghefor 16. Samith Silva contributed 18 runs before being bowled by Jonathan for 18 runs. Sangeeth Cooray also contributed to the batting scoring 15 runs before being stumped by Sharika bowled by Ashail.

Anuk Fernando top scored for the side with 27 runs but was clean bowled by Jonathans who took his second wicket finishing on 2/21. The bowling attack of Wesley all chipped in but the best figures were by Wickremasinghe 2/12.

When Wesley went into bat it was with much confidence as the target was gettable. However they folded with unbelievable ease with Caderamanpulle holding fort for 39 runs.  He was caught by Nimesh Fernando and bowled by Kusal Lakthilina after which the batting collapsed in a heap and Wesley was all out for 80 runs in the 16th over.

Sangeeth Corray and Pramesh Fernando led the bowling attack brilliantly for the Sebastins taking 3/7 and 3/8 which broke the back of the Wesley batting.
