Anjana Wickramasinghe , Shamil Hilmy and Chamika Dilruwan scored for Kingswood College as they won 3-1 against Trinity College in their Annual Friendly football match at Randles Hill.
With a 4-1 win in last year Kingswodians came in to game with a winning mindset. Just two minutes after kick off Kingswood scored their first from a free-kick. The Sri Lanka U19 cap Anjana, who returned to country a couple of days back shot a direct kick to the net and scored his first goal.
After that in 6th minute Anjana got another free kick and it went directly to Trinity goalkeeper but he spilled it allowing midfielder Shamil Hilmy to take advantage of it and place the rebound ball to the left corner of the post.
After that the visitors tried to score but Kingswood last defender Anjana Wickramasingha and goalkeeper Gayan did not give any chances for them. In the 14th minute Kingswood winger Sanka Jayamina got a well-placed corner kick and his partner Chamika Dilruwan got a superb header placing the ball into the corner of second bar giving a comfortable 3-0 lead. From there onwards Kingswood forwards tried to extend the gap but finishing was not successful and first half ended 3-0.
Trinitians entered 2nd half with a new plan and attacking manner and the forwards tried to reduce the gap several times but they were unsuccessful. After some good attempts in 48th minute Trinity forward Dinura Ediriweera scored the only goal for them.
