Mahanam College took on St. Servatius College today in an inter school cricket encounter which was played at Maggona.
Mahanama College who entered in to bat first scored 153 runs in 43.2 over’s. Mahanama College skipper and one of the season’s brightest prospects Pawan Devinda was the highlight scoring for 34 runs.
Ashen Deemantha was the star with the ball for the Matara side grabbing 7 wickets for 44 runs while he was given support from Sanchika Ridma who ended with a couple of wickets.
St. Servatius College in their first innings managed to score 149 runs for a loss of 7 wickets when play stopped on day one.
Yohan Chanuka notched up a half century with 60 runs while Sanchika Ridma contributed 38.
Dinuka Karunarathne and Nayana Prabhath chipped in with 4 and 2 wickets respectively.
