Mahanama College took on Prince of Wales College yesterday in an inter school cricket match which took place at Katunayake.

Prince of Wales College who won the toss elected to field first and Mahanama College scored a total of 188 runs for a loss of 10 wickets in 58.5 overs. Everybody chipped in with a decent run;Gihan Sanjeewa missed a half century to be out at 49 and Pavan Dewinda and Dulanjana Senewirathne, made 21 and 20 runs respectively. Subudhdhi Kaushalya (26) along with Thanula Wickramasinghe (24) added to the score..

Representing Prince of Wales College, Sachith Pushpakumara and Thilan Nimesh scalped the opposition at 4 and 2 wickets apiece.

Prince of Wales College in the first innings achieved 148 runs for 5 in 31 overs. Shanuka Dulaj scored an unbeaten 55 runs and  Haritha Lanka 47 while Krishane Aponso added 19 to the score. Nayana Prabhath of Mahanama obtained 2 wickets for  37 runs.
