The 25-year old Galle CC left-hander Rumesh Buddhika stroked a masterful unbeaten century which enabled the hosts’ to take charge in their game against NCC at Galle International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
The number 4 batsman remained not out on 134 off 213 balls with 7 fours and one six at stumps on day one as the rain-hit SLC Premier League Tournament 2015/16 got underway once again with the week two matches.
Galle CC posted 264 for 5 against a strong NCC bowling unit. Opener Damith Hunukumbura contributed with 55 while off-spinner Tharindu Kaushal picked up 3 wickets conceding 100 runs.
