The inter school cricket match between D S Senanayake College and Nalanda College was held at the Nalanda grounds yesterday.
DS Senanayake College who won the toss and elected to bat first and scored a total of 285 in their 1st innings for a loss of 9 wickets in 71 overs. Duleeka Brahmanage notched up a superb century scoring 116 runs which is inclusive of ten fours and 5 sixes.
Supun Madushanka, missed his chance to become a half centurion as he was knocked down in his 40th run while Thimila Vidyasekara supported him with an unbeaten 42 runs. Kaniska Prasan aided his team chipping in with 25 runs whereas Kusal Dias, Pramud Hettiwatte and Aviska De Silva scalped 2, 4, 2 wickets respectively.
The match was ended early due to bad light.
