Asian / German Sports Exchange program (AGSEP) in collaboration with the TT Association of Sri Lanka, Jaffna District TT Association, and Vavuniya District TT Association, are conducting the above TT Championships.
This will be held on 02nd & 03rd February 2013 at St. Thomas’ Indoor Stadium, Mt Lavinia to celebrate Independence day in Sri Lanka. This is organized for the 1st time and it will be an all island competition.(unranked)
About 132 players from North & East who were trained by the Asian / German Sports Exchange program (AGSEP) in collaboration with the TT Association of Sri Lanka in the last two years will arrive in Colombo to participate in the above TT Championships. They will gain a great experience on these two days of the tournament with the players being exposed to a positive background in the sport.
A noteworthy feature is that this will be the first instant in history where such a large team of players from North & East will be present in Colombo for any tournament. It is an exciting proposition for them and it is anticipated that these players from the North & East will shine at this championships. Most of the TT players will be coming to Colombo for the first time.
Once again it is Mr. Pesi Pestonjee of Abans who is on as a co – sponsor together with Aquarius Beach Hotel and Nillavelli Peace Village.
We wish these players from the Northern area who have been starved for competition, a great championship ahead and a good future in the sport!
