The first ever Inter-university International Shuttlers festival organized by the Moratuwa University commenced from the 4th of May starting with the schools tournament.
On the 10th of May the teams of St. Martins College, India and UITM, Malaysia arrived at the campus, creating history in the university badminton arena as these are the first foreign teams to take part in an inter-university badminton tournament in Sri Lanka .
