The Asian Chess Federation has nominated Sri Lanka as the next host of the 9th Asian Schools Chess Championship. According to an appeal made by Mr. Lakshman Wijesuriya, Secretary, Sri Lanka Chess Federation and other officials, the Asian Chess Federation has taken this step.
“This is the 5th time in which the Championship will be held in Sri Lanka. We are to escalate this special and mega event with many special features”. an official from the Chess Federation stated.
The event will be worked off in Hikkaduwa from 3rd August to 6th September. Participants representing 15 countries will be participating for the 9th Asian Schools Chess Federation.
