One of the most anticipated sevens tournaments in the country, the 49th Mercantile Sevens will kick off on the 19th of July 2019 as the competition nears its 50th edition.
Organized by the Mercantile Rugby Football Association, the tournament is open to all corporates in the country and will be played over the course of three days. The tournament will consist of Cup, Plate, Bowl and Shield categories.

Last year, it was Access Engineering and Dialog Axiata that reached the final and Access Engineering led by Richard Dharmapala emerged champions in the Cup segment.

The Plate Championship went in favour of John Keells ‘B’ while Citizens Development Business won the Bowl. Dialog Axiata ‘B’ emerged as Shield Champions.
